Paid Positions Open at the Town of Rush

Part-Time Bookkeeper: Immediate opening.  The Town of Rush is seeking an individual to fill the position of Bookkeeper for the Supervisor. Position is part time for 20 hours per week  Applicant must have both education and experience in bookkeeping.  Municipal experience and Associate's Degree preferred. Recreation Department Immediate Employment Openings:

Two experienced Girls Basketball coaches needed for Basketball Camp for 7-9yr olds.  The camp is held at Monica Leary school, 5509 East Henrietta Road in Rush,.  The camp runs once a week on Wednesdays from 6:30PM-8:00PM. The day selected can be changed to accommodate the right coaches. Appointed Positions

BOARD OF ASSESSMENT REVIEW OPENINGS We are now accepting applications from town residents for open positions on the Board of Assessment Review. Applicants must possess knowledge of property rules and assessing units. Training classes for these positions are both free and required. The BAR meets once a year in late May or early June to review applications from residents grieving their assessments. Interested individuals are asked to submit a letter of interest to Town Clerk Pamela Bucci, 5977 East Henrietta Road, Rush, New York 14543.

ZONING, PLANNING, CONSERVATION BOARDS Openings can occur on the Zoning, Planning and Conservation Boards at any given time. All are held at the Town Hall meeting room unless otherwise specified. The current meeting schedule: Zoning Board of Appeals – every 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM; Planning Board – every 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM; and Conservation Board – every 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM. Please refer to the website for Zoom access to a meeting. If interested in serving on any of the boards, please send a letter of interest to Pamela Bucci, Town Clerk. Your submissions will be kept on file and distributed to the Town Board for consideration when appropriate. All letters of interest are kept for consideration for at least three years.

Rush Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary  Volunteer The Ladies Auxiliary are always interested in new members. If you are 18 years of older we would like to have you join our organization. Retired firefighters and explorers are welcome. Rush Beautification Committee The goal of the committee is to help our town be visually beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing.  For more information, contact Kathryn Hankins, Town Supervisor's secretary at 533-9058 or 355-8509. 

Rush Recreation and Park Association (RushRPA)  They are partners with the town and are the stewards for the 100 Acre Park that borders the Genesee River.  The  2021 work project is to plant and care for more than 60 trees.  There are many volunteer opportunities.  To find out more, contact This email address is being protected from spambots.
