Town of Rush Fire District  Two Part-time Paid Position(s) Available.  The Rush Fire Department is looking for a Secretary and a Treasurer.  Both are paid positions.  For more information, and to find the job descriptions, go to the Fire District Website, www.RushFD.org.

ZONING, PLANNING, CONSERVATION BOARDS AND BOARD OF ASSESSMENT REVIEW

Openings on Planning, Zoning, Conservation and Board of Assessment Review can occur at any time.  If you are interested in serving on any of the boards, their meetings are scheduled as follows:  Zoning Board of Appeals –  2nd Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM; Planning Board – 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM; and Conservation Board – 1st Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM.  The Board of Assessment Review has training in early spring and a meeting in May.  All meetings are held in the Town Hall meeting room unless otherwise specified (currently being held by Zoom) .  If you are interested in serving on any of the above Boards, please send a letter of interest to Pamela Bucci, Town Clerk.   All letters of interest are kept for consideration for at least three years. They will be distributed to the Town Board for consideration when there is a vacancy.  (By Order of the Rush Town Board  November 2020)

Rush Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary  Volunteer The Ladies Auxiliary is looking for new members. If you are 18 years of older we would like to have you join our organization. Retired firefighters and explorers are welcome. Rush Spring Clean UP  

Rush Beautification Gardens 2021 This is the second year that residents have volunteered to care for the 12 gardens of Rush. The goal is to help our town be visually beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing.  For more information, contact Kathryn Hankins, Town Supervisor's secretary at 533-9058 or 355-8509;

Rush Recreation and Park Association (RushRPA)  They are partners with the town and are the stewards for the 100 Acre Park that borders the Genseee River.  Our 2021 work project is to plant and care for more than 60 trees.  There are many volunteer opportunities.  To find out more, contact This email address is being protected from spambots.
