Town of Rush Assessor’s Clerk P/T Position
The Town of Rush is now accepting applications for a Part-time Assessor’s Clerk.  Position requires strong administrative, communication and record keeping skills and the ability to work independently; notary public a plus.  Knowledge of real property assessment is helpful.  Associates degree or 2 years experience required.  Interested Applicants should submit a letter of interest and resume to Pamela Bucci, Rush Town Clerk, 5977 East Henrietta Road, Rush, NY 14543.  For further information, please call the Town Clerk’s office at 533-1312. 

Highway Department is accepting applications for:  Part Time Dispatcher and Part Time Winter Sidewalk Snowplower. 

Weekend Seasonal Dispatcher  Seeking motivated individual for Highway Departmetn Seasonal winter part-time position available.  24 Hrs per week Saturday and Sunday  Midnight - Noon  mid-November through mid-April.  Applications available below.  

Sidewalk Plowing and Maintenance  Seeking individual for sidewalk plowing and ice control maintenance.  Includes operating small cab tractor, walk behind snow bloser and hand shoveling.  Seasonal part-time position.  Need to be available during snowfall events.  November through April.  Please submit application below.

Appointed Positions

Planning, Zoning, Conservation and Board of Assessment Review Openings can occur at any time.  If you are interested in serving on any of the boards, their meetings are scheduled as follows:  Zoning Board of Appeals –  2nd Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM; Planning Board – 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM; and Conservation Board – 1st Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM.  The Board of Assessment Review has training in early spring and a meeting in May.  All meetings are held in the Town Hall meeting room unless otherwise specified.  If you are interested in serving on any of the above Boards, please send a letter of interest to Pamela Bucci, Town Clerk.   All letters of interest are kept for consideration for at least three years. They will be distributed to the Town Board for consideration when there is a vacancy.

Rush Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary  Volunteer The Ladies Auxiliary are always interested in new members. If you are 18 years of older we would like to have you join our organization. Retired firefighters and explorers are welcome. Rush Beautification Committee The goal of the committee is to help our town be visually beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing.  For more information, contact Kathryn Hankins, Town Supervisor's secretary at 533-9058 or 355-8509. 

Rush Recreation and Park Association (RushRPA)  They are partners with the town and are the stewards for the 100 Acre Park that borders the Genesee River.  The  2021 work project is to plant and care for more than 60 trees.  There are many volunteer opportunities.  To find out more, contact This email address is being protected from spambots.
